Past events
August 2021: Microaggressions Workshop with Rayya Ghul
September 2021: Documentary and Discussion – Racism in the LGBTQIA+ Community

A documentary night jointly hosted between the BAMEOTUK and LGBTQIA+OT networks. This event began to explore intersectionality – where marginalised identities overlap or intersect – and the experiences of oppression that result. We watched and discussed an episode of the Queer Britain documentary series, in which Riyadh Khalaf explored casual racism in the LGBTQIA+ community and discussed when preference becomes prejudice.
